About
I’m Maayke, the maker behind this ceramic studio in Eindhoven, a cozy space filled with clay dust, tea, and shelves of slowly growing objects.
My love for ceramics was revived during my time at the Design Academy Eindhoven, where I took a ceramics minor and rediscovered the same joy I felt as a kid making things with clay. I’m fascinated by the contrast of the material: how quickly you can shape something with your hands, while the rest of the process asks for patience. Clay dries slowly, gets fired under intense heat, and often comes back from the kiln with little surprises of its own.
In the studio, I create small-batch ceramics ranging from slipcast mayonnaise bottles and colourful mugs to tiny decorative objects and custom pieces. I work both with molds and handbuilding techniques, always drawn to playful shapes, tactile textures, and objects that feel slightly imperfect in the best possible way.
Alongside my own work, I host small-scale workshops and open clay sessions where people can explore ceramics. No pressure, no perfection, just making things with your hands. ❀
