Create your own ceramic cake wall piece in this two-session handbuilding workshop.

Using slab-building techniques, you’ll design and sculpt a playful ceramic cake to hang on your wall, decorated with piping, cherries, flowers, candles, or whatever strange little cake ideas you come up with. No experience needed; the focus is on experimenting, decorating, and enjoying the process.

In the first session, we’ll build and decorate the piece by hand. After drying and the first firing, your cake will be glazed and fired again, ready to become a permanent sugary ornament for your wall.

Using clay slabs, stamps, textures, and small sculpted details, you’ll create a unique keychain completely in your own style, from tiny fruits and flowers to animals, letters, or abstract shapes. The workshop is beginner-friendly and focused on experimenting, making, and having fun with clay.

After the workshop, the pieces will be fired, glazed, assembled with hardware, and ready to carry around with you every day.
